Noor
A free app for counting and keeping your remembrance — dhikr — on Android and iOS. It runs on your device, keeps your content there, and asks nothing of you in return.
What it does
- Count and keep your azkar. Built-in azkar from well-known collections of the Prophetic Sunnah, each carrying its source, plus any azkar and duas you write yourself, in Arabic or in English.
- Organise them into sets and follow your daily progress, completions and streaks.
- Recite Quran by reference. Passages are stored as a surah and a range of verses, and the text is resolved from bundled, verified datasets when it is displayed — so what you read is the verified text, never a copy typed by hand.
- Reminders scheduled by your own device, not by a server.
- Backups you control. Export a file, put it where you choose, restore it when you want.
- Arabic and English throughout, with a light and a dark theme.
What it does not do
Noor has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind. It contains no third-party SDKs. Everything it holds stays on your phone, and uninstalling the app deletes all of it. The app makes exactly one network request, and only when you ask it to: fetching the curated catalog when you open Discover.
The details are in the privacy policy below.
